Veolia, the world’s largest water and environmental services company, hosted a one-day educational seminar to support food and beverage industry professionals in the management of their water resources. Water experts from around the world presented on a wide variety of technologies designed to help reduce costs, improve operational efficiency, and enhance environmental sustainability.
The one-day seminar took place on May 24, 2016, in Chicago, Illinois and featured a wide range of educational topics presented by Veolia’s water experts and engineers from the United States, United Kingdom, Italy, and Sweden.
Topics presented by leading water and wastewater experts included:
- Understanding the “True Cost of Water”
- Converting Waste/Wastewater to Bioenergy
- Water Reuse
- Achieving ZLD (Zero Liquid Discharge)
- Advancements in Solid Separation
“Water is a shared resource among communities and industries, and Veolia is committed to helping these entities best manage this precious resource,” says Mette-Friis Andersen, Marketing & Communications Director, North America. She adds, “Thirty-five representatives from a variety of leading food and beverage companies attended the seminar, and presenters were able to communicate not only on the latest technological advancements available, but also provide actual case studies of these technologies.”
The education seminar also created several opportunities for the attendees to share their experiences with each other and expert presenters to facilitate collaboration on specific water and wastewater issues at their facilities.
